What I can see
The American College of Thessaloniki, also known as Anatolia College, is a complex of buildings with the central faculty (Compton building) being the most important in terms of architecture and is a reference to buildings of the American suburbs. In addition to secondary education schools (middle-high and high school), it also has post-secondary education departments, which are those of Business Administration and Theoretical Sciences. It also has a state-of-the-art library with rare books, many coming from the college of Merzifon, a city of present-day northeastern Turkiye.
What I can't see
The American College was originally founded in Istanbul in the mid-19th century, by missionaries from the East, but flourished in Merzifon. After the Asia Minor Catastrophe and at the invitation of Eleftherios Venizelos, the school settled permanently in Thessaloniki. Initially, it was housed in military buildings. It belongs to the educational institutions that contributed to the extroversion, intellectual elevation and cosmopolitan character of the city, especially during the first half of the 20th century.
