What I can see
This ten-storey cylindrical tower has a geometric consistency that is part of a modern architectural pluralism distinguishing the buildings of AUTh. It is a reference building, it orientates and respects the tradition of the city towers, despite its modern style. It is surrounded by a silver cloak, which breaks asymmetrically as if has been attacked and creates the impression that it is part of a sci-fi setting.
What I can't see
In the past, the pedagogical school was housed mainly in prefabricated buildings. Unfortunately, this modern building – designed by Giorgos Kontaxakis, Nikos Kalogirou and Giorgos Koutoupis – was not implemented in its entirety and the spaces are not sufficient for the needs of the school.
