The main characteristics of this eclectic building are its heavy decoration, the symmetry of its openings and the play of volumes that the erker (enclosed- projected balcony) of the central axis and the balconies make and therefore give plasticity to the building. The erker ends in a protruding cornice and right before, there is an elliptical skylight, surrounded by reliefs. Skylights are present in the upper part of every opening, thus utilizing the maximum of natural light. There are also many decorative elements, such as strips and reliefs with geometric and floral themes.
We do not know much about the history of the building, nor who designed it. However, we do know that on the ground floor, from 1976 to 1998, it housed the city’s 7th Sea Scouts’ Unit. Then, it was restored and these days, is a private property. It has also been designated a listed monument.
