What I can see
The marble bust of bishop Germanos Karavaggelis, a work by Aliki Hatzi, is 1.26m high and sits on a 1.69m marble base. It belongs to the category of realistic sculptures and academic sculpture. The lack of expressiveness places the sculpture among the least interesting of the city.
What I can't see
Like other bishops in Macedonia, Germanos Karavaggelis had been placed as the new bishop of Kastoria and had openly taken action in favour of Greece during the Balkan Wars. He organized guerilla groups with the main objective to dissolve the Bulgarian Committee in the area of Kastoria.
