What I can see

The historical archive consists of the oral testimony archive and five collections: public archives, private archives, maps, newspapers and publications, photographs and postcards. The archive and its activities concern mainly the Greek refugees of Asia Minor, Pontus and Eastern Thrace, after the population exchange between Greece and Turkiye (1924). The research, however, also extends to the Greek populations of Eastern Romilia (part of today’s Bulgaria), Istanbul, Gökçeada and Bozcaada (Turkiye), the citizens of Greek origin of the former USSR and Albania, the Greek diaspora around the world and the Greek Cypriot refugees of the Turkish invasion in Cyprus.

What I can't see

The aim of the archive is to preserve the memory of refugee Hellenism and highlight its history. The records date back to 1820 and the archive’s activities include the collection, cataloging and archiving of primary material, research, enrichment of the library and the organising of events and educational programs. It also collaborates with private and public organizations and universities.
