What I can see
SEIKILO is a multi-space and interactive museum that takes us to the world of ancient Greek musical instruments. Its collection is divided into three sections, a) Ancient musical instruments, b) Ancient culture and mythology c) Ancient strategy board games. The 16 ancient instruments from Greece and the rest of the ancient world are reconstructed and have won international awards. Guests can play strategy board games. A tour in the museum teaches us about the different types of ancient Greek lyre, the Kithara (guitar) of the Golden Age, the ancient drum and the relationship between modern traditional instruments (e.g. bouzouki, tzouras) and the ancient ones.
What I can't see
It collaborates with universities, tour guides and educators to improve the experience of visitors of all ages. It has organized exhibitions in museums of Thessaloniki, Athens, Nicosia, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom.
