What I can see
In 50 sq.m. of the surface of the facade of a building that houses a public service there is a vertical garden, which consists of over 800 pots.
What I can't see
It is the first example of a vertical garden on a building in the country, with a significant benefit for its energy footprint. It is also called “green wall” and “green mask”. The plants are watered by rainwater, which is collected by special systems. They have been selected after study, so that they are resistant to the local climate and have different colours every season. The design is by Panos Dragonas, Varvara Christopoulou and Sotiris Theodosopoulos and was funded by the Coca Cola Foundation.
