The Foteinou Clinic is a building with intense decoration and was probably designed by Anastasios Metaxas. It is of late neoclassic architecture, including also many neo-baroque elements. For many years, it housed the dermatology clinic of Doctor Georgios Foteinos, who later bequeathed it to the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
For a long period of time, it operated as a tutoring centre and then was occupied by students of the School of Fine Arts. The students used its spaces as workshops and musical and theatrical groups developed here, such as Dimitris Papaioannou’s “Edafos Dance Theatre”.
